Neighborhood mysteries

This statue of a man dozing on a bench is near the supa with the lion statue. I have no clue why it's there.

The yellow door is outside what I presume is a Buddhist temple. I walk by it on my way to the bus sometimes. I'm intrigued and need to ask a Korean to translate the words on the gate.
