On December 27th we had more snow in one day in Korea than I've seen since I got here. It was still very modest by NY standards--not more than an inch or so. But it changed the look and feel of Seoul (for the better, I think). So I decided to document it.
This picture with the bicycle shows a typical alley in my neighborhood. The streets are all narrow and steep and drivers had a hard time in the snow. Some of my neighbors were out sweeping the snow with regular household brooms. A few used small shovels. There are no snowplows here.
