After living in Korea for a year (still hard to believe!) I noticed things back in the US that probably wouldn't have caught my attention before I left:
People are a lot bigger!
They dress a lot more casually in public.
I enjoyed hearing Spanish on the streets. It felt like home.
There was more Russian being spoken in NY than I remember.
I enjoyed seeing Jewish faces again
