Some thoughts and observations about my trip to Singapore that I never found time and energy to write until now.
Funny little British English bit: "Please Q up" (get in line)
It felt weird at first NOT to say "kamsahamneda" (thank you).
Hints I was no longer in Korea:
- Most people spoke some English, but almost nobody wore it.
- Despite the blazing sun, nobody wore enormous black visors with sequins, though some did carry umbrellas (even men)
- Only one elevator had a mirror
- Very high heels were rare
- My hair cut was NY price
- I saw women smoking
- People didn't seem to be in a rush
- There's something called Canadian pizza. (But Korea has volcano pizza. I'm not sure which is stranger.)
