Singapore musings two months later

Some thoughts and observations about my trip to Singapore that I never found time and energy to write until now.

Funny little British English bit: "Please Q up" (get in line)

It felt weird at first NOT to say "kamsahamneda" (thank you).
Hints I was no longer in Korea:
  • Most people spoke some English, but almost nobody wore it.
  • Despite the blazing sun, nobody wore enormous black visors with sequins, though some did carry umbrellas (even men)
  • Only one elevator had a mirror
  • Very high heels were rare
  • My hair cut was NY price
  • I saw women smoking
  • People didn't seem to be in a rush
  • There's something called Canadian pizza. (But Korea has volcano pizza. I'm not sure which is stranger.)
This picture is from the mall where I bought SHOES IN MY SIZE!
