This US soldier and I said hi as I was out walking. I'd just passed yet another car unable to go anywhere and I commented to the soldier that he was smart to be walking instead of trying to drive. He said he parked his car at the bottom of the hill, knowing it'd be impossible to dislodge it if it were further up.
I would have felt awkward asking to take his picture when we were talking, but realized as he was walking away that I liked the contrasting colors of his uniform against the snow.
