Chanukah on Yongsan
As I've written before, there are no synagogues in Korea. I'm not particularly religiously observant, so it's not much of an issue. Every now and then, on holidays, I do like to see people who look like my relatives and share a certain Jewish je ne sais quo.
The first and last nights of Chanukah apparently had a pretty good turnout (50 people or so), but mid-week my (gentile) friends, the new rabbi, and one other member of the "congregation" were the only ones there. Reid and James were very good sports and wore yarmulkes (however it's spelled). They even sang along, which I didn't (I'm embarrassed by my awful singing voice).
