Their First Matzo

My friends Jayne and Linda had never had matzo ball soup before, so I made some from the mix my mom had sent in my birthday care package.

Jayne actually thought matzo was a kind of cheese, until she saw the soup and then she thought it was cauliflower. She blamed being from Saskatchewan.

Linda's from Australia. When we met last year she told me I was the first Jewish person she'd ever met.

I haven't felt like this much of ethnic minority since I lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
