Judge Ohseok

This is my friend and private student, Ohseok Kwon (in Korea, Kwon Ohseok).

I took this picture of him in my office last April. We met by chance because his wife is a pharmacist in my neighborhood. Now they're in New Jersey for 6 months, and he's been meeting some of my friends around there. It's been really fun to connect him with people back home.

He's participating in a visiting jurist program at Fordham University Law School this semester.
My parents happen to have a very good friend who's a Fordham alum and very involved with the university, so I was able to put Ohseok in touch with him.

It's funny to think that if I had gone to a different doctor or different pharmacy here in Korea, the two of them wouldn't have met.

When I was in NY in August, Ohseok and his family arrived shortly before I was going to leave. I met them at the Port Authority bus terminal and showed him how to get to Fordham from there. Then we took the kids to Central Park.

Here are picture of me and his wife, Jiwon, daughter, Eujin, and son, Doyoon, at Fordham that afternoon.
