This was the most challenging hike I've ever been on in my mere 47 years. The hiking club forewarned us to be sure to wear real hiking boots, and bring a charged cell phone and contact numbers. They also strongly suggested that anyone afraid of heights not come along. So, I knew it would be more than a leisurely stroll.
Even so, I wasn't prepared for rock climbing. Or for a 6-hour hike. Granted, we stopped to rest and eat, but even so....
I can't remember the last time I was so exhausted. Actually, I just remembered. It was after completing the NY marathon. But that was 15 years and quite a few pounds ago.
Anyway, here are a few of the photos from Buhkansan. Once again, I was amazed that we were actually within the Seoul city limits.
