The Hwaseong bell

At the top of one of the hills on the Hwaseong Fortress path there's a large bell. You can pay 1,000 won (about a dollar US) to ring it 3 times. The first time is supposed to be in honor of your parents, the second for your family, and the third for a good future (if I remember correctly.) To ring it, you pull back on and then release what's essentially a large drum suspended on ropes.
